Berlin Chili Fest 2025 – The Harvest Event in September

As summer slowly fades, Berlin heats up at the Chili Fest! The Berlin Chili Fest has been bringing the full load of fiery chili power to the capital since 2021. For fall, there’s a special event coming up: the Harvest Event in September.

Whether you’re just starting out in the world of chilis or already a real expert – the festival is a unique opportunity to discover your perfect heat level, from mild beginner sauces to extreme challenges that will make even seasoned chili heads sweat. What makes me particularly curious: the variety of chili products that go far beyond just the heat kick. Different flavors that pair perfectly with the street food offerings – and perhaps even create exciting pairings with the craft beers from Berliner Berg Brauerei, who hosts the event in their beer garden.

Since 2021, the festival has become a real mecca for chili lovers, where producers and food creators from Berlin and all over Europe meet. It’s not just about hot sauces here, but a whole community that shares their passion for everything fiery.

Berlin Chili Fest: Harvest Event – September 2025

When: September 5 (evening), September 6 & 7, 2025
Where: Berliner Berg Brauerei, Treptower Str. 39, Berlin
Tickets: 6€ Day Pass, 10€ Weekend Pass

The September event is called “Harvest Event” and takes place from September 5 to 7, 2025, at Berliner Berg Brauerei – and the timing couldn’t be better! September is the classic harvest month for many vegetables and grains. Some are harvested multiple times and September is the final round, others have been waiting all summer to finally show their fruits – like many chili plants. I have a chili plant myself and can already see some chilis emerging – I think by the end of September they will be perfectly ripe. The atmosphere in the beer garden is relaxed while around you Europe’s hottest creations await tasting.

What to Expect:

  • Berlin’s best homemade hot sauce competition – where hobby chili growers show what they’ve got
  • International hot sauce tasting with the latest creations from all over Europe
  • Chili eating competition and extreme challenges for the truly brave
  • Fresh chilis, dried chili varieties & chili plants – far more than just sauces
  • Diverse food stalls with dishes using chilis in all sorts of ways
  • Spicy cabaret show and live music for the perfect festival vibe

What makes me particularly curious is whether there will be dried or smoked chilis alongside the fresh ones, which are mainly used for hot sauces – that would expand the flavor spectrum in a completely different way.

The September date is perfect for everyone who wants to say goodbye to summer with one last fiery kick. The event is family-friendly and even well-behaved dogs are welcome.
